USC Spigner House awarded Historic Preservation Award by Historic Columbia Foundation. LEED GOLD

Originally built in 1915 and conveyed to USC by Mrs. Spigner in 1964, this historic house is currently unused. The interior renovation will update the mechanical, plumbing electrical and life safety systems while maintaining and enhancing the historic character, including the wood windows, first level hardwood floors, grand stair, plaster walls and wood trim and moldings. The renovated House will provide meeting and conference space in support of the University’s academic mission. The upper level will serve as office space for Sodexho, the University’s food service vendor. When complete, the project anticipates receiving LEED Silver Level Commercial Interiors Certification.
